The Ecobabyloo is the world's first eco-friendly toilet for 2 month to 1 to 2+ year old children made from child-safe and recyclable materials. Washable, durable and appropriately sized, it makes toilet time at home for babies and carers clean, simple, effective, successful, interesting, enjoyable, responsive, fun, motivating, challenging to get your routines right on the first month or two and much more convenient as you do not have to clean poo-ey bottoms, sore private parts and change stinky diapers/nappies for 2 or more years or take, wipes, creams, costly bulky disposable diapers when on outings as you can toilet baby at any public toilet as they can poo and wee on demand!

We designed the EcoBabyloo to provide carers with the tools to teach infants and toddlers good toileting habits through daily interaction and play to make toilet training a life enhancing experience of treasured memorable moments for both.

Prior to the 1960s children were toilet trained by age 2. With the rise in use of disposable diapers/nappies, being toilet trained is now only by age 3 or 3 and a half. We want parents to be free of having to clean poo-ey stinky bottoms of resistant children for years and your babies to enjoy sound education by their parents of being taught to remove their waste away from their body from birth effectively, hygienically and enjoy a routine of being fed and toileted regularly by their caregivers so that they can have the practice they need of using their rectal, detrusor and sphincter muscles for waste removal hygienically away from their body, so that they can be completely independent in their toileting by age 1 to 2 or 2+. We believe that with the Ecobabyloo, this can be the natural, practical, hygienic, economic and sustainable way of meeting children’s toileting needs happily now and for future generations.

You can read the details why it is important to toilet train from birth and "how and why" the EcoBabyLoo has been designed to help parents fulfil this important role much more easily and effectively than using the unsound education of teaching children to use disposable diapers as "toilets" in our pages on "Defining Toilet Training" and "A Nurturers Way"

It’s our responsibility to care

Sadly, the art and joy of toilet training babies from birth is being lost. Parents have been duped into believing in the myth that they are not ready to be toilet trained from birth and you can cause them harm if you do! You can read my Article 3 on "Brazelton's Myth" and Article 4 on "Inadvertent Actions and Wilful Blindness" on how the myth was promoted and what harm it has caused to our children, our communities and our shared planet home! The myth which was propagated world-wide has resulted in most babies being put into disposable nappies, toilet training only started around 18 months, mostly by aged 2 or more with a significant number, 70% of 380 sample children "hiding' at age 17 to 19 months in a study done by toilet training problems researcher Prof. B Taubman and at least 20% suffering STR "Stool Toileting Refusal". In countries, such as the UK it had resulted in some children attending schools in disposable nappies at age 5, 6 or even 7 to 11 as reported by the Daily Mail in London in 2009 and in 2014 Other newspapers such as the Brisbane Courier in Australia reports of similar situations of children attending schools in disposable nappies...My interviews in 2009 of preschool directors in Singapore, in Malaysia and parents at random in China, on the Streets in London, in a Restaurant in Philadelphia and in Central Park in New York reveal that many children using disposable nappies as their "live-in toilets" by their parents or caregivers taught to them at hospitals by nurses or by their peers, have children who suffer from Hiding and STR problems! Why do 17 to 19 month old children hide to toilet? Of course by that age or even much younger at 12 months or more, they will because they know their body smells and parents do not like them to smell and want to change them but their parents have taught them the unsound education from birth - to poo and wee into their dependable nappy toilets, resulting in long term STR problems such as these!

Potty training or toilet training? Need help? Start with an Ecobabyloo

Arrrggg...how can we do this to our poor confused and frightened but very smart children? Clever children hide to toilet because it takes away their dignity as they do not want to smell and they can hide and squat to toilet behind curtains, in wardrobes, underneath tables in privacy and undisturbed by you, as that is the natural and best position to toilet as nature designed us to squat as the natural way to toilet! (see my article no 1 on "Defining Toilet Training") Worst still, it takes away our own parental dignity as smart "homo sapiens" or smart "mammals" as no other mammals keep their babies' waste deliberately next to their babies' bodies before its removal!

Children can learn about toileting from birth and it is much easier for them and for us to assist them learn how to remove their poos and wees hygienically into a toilet that is ergonomically designed for them to toilet effectively from 2 months...and they do not have to suffer from hiding or STR or go to school in disposable diapers!

Toileting is a basic need for all humans, including for babies. The Chinese have a saying that if we must eat and drink, we must toilet! We know puppies and kittens can be toilet trained but aren’t sure why people believe that babies can’t be. They are so much cleverer and smarter and can even learn to recognise their mother's voice or listen to mozart while in the womb and our Australian "Kangaroo Care" show that babies know how to creep to their mother's breast, suckle from their nipples, feel safe and so contented when breastfed by them from birth! Its the same with toilet training them, my mums way from birth....You can read about her story and her way from my article no 5 which is about how I modernised her effective sustainable way to preserve her wonderful procedures!

Research by Prof Yueng and his team in Hong Kong in 1995 and by Prof Wen and his team in China in 1998 show that a newborn infant's brain or CNS have innate control of their bladder detruser muscles from birth! They wake to wee and do not do it in their sleep!

Babies who wear cloth nappies will wet and cry to be changed but those wearing disposable nappies for sometime won't cry because they learn quickly that its dry when they wee into it and also you have taught your babies from small not to cry at night to indicate their need to you because they know you will not respond, so they learnt that its best to wake up, do their wee into their disposables that keep them dry and they go back to sleep because it is still dark and my parents are still sleeping! Many babies are clever and do not want to waste their energy crying for parents who won't respond and anyway its okay to wee into nappies that keep them dry!

We invented the Ecobabyloo package to help parents assist their babies enjoy learning about toilet training from birth and be nappy-free by age 1 to 2+ and not be exposed to the myriad of problems suffered by children wearing nappies, such as nappy rash, sore bottoms, hiding, stigmatisation, stool toileting refusal (need for a nappy to toilet and refusal to toilet into potties or other waste receptacles).

A child using 6 one-use throw away nappies a day for 2.5 years will use 6000 nappies in 2.5 years. The pulp of 4.5 trees would have been harvested and 2 tonnes of poo and wee laden nappy waste and pollutants produced by just one 1 child! Humans have removed more then 50% of our forests and we use machines to log trees to manufacture tree pulp for nappy manufacture, transportations of the pulp and super absorbent gels with secret formulas from ships to factories, nice diaper packages in plastic from factories to shops, from shops to your homes, from your bins to burial for as long as 500 years as disposable nappies contain plastic that cannot be incinerated.

Parents and caregivers who look after children make up the hands that rock our cradles and they nurture our world as children learn what they live. If your actions show that you live sustainably, your child will be most likely to emulate your attitude and behaviour.  If you are careless, believe in myths and invalid research by medical practitioners with powerful voices paid for by powerful diaper corporations and have no time to meet your children's toileting needs, make them sit in their poos and wees, they will copy you and do the same with their children. You can read more on how your change to meet your child's toilet training needs will be of tremendous help in my article number 11 on "Our collective responsibilities to our interconnected Ecoworld"

The huge amount of poo and wee laden waste nappies (24 billion in China in 2016 and 27 Billion in the USA from 2001 until todate) resulted in Lee Lee making her Ecobabyloo to replace the unsound educational, highly polluting to our soils, water and atmosphere, expensive and un-economic and non-sustainainable use of disposable diapers as "one-use throwaway live-in body toilets" for our babies when they can and love to learn about toilet training from their birth! (You can watch her documentary produced in 2012/3 on Toilet Training under the Microscope TTUTM) the shortened 1 hour version is in an USB accompanying the EcoBabyloo package or it can be bought as the original feature length version of 2 hours from the Vimeo website! Children who must eat and drink must toilet and the EcoBabyloo is designed for their use from 2 months to learn to practice usage of their toileting muscles which are many, including the important bladder detrusor, rectal and sphincter muscles to control the release of their wees only or poos only or both poos and wees when they are given regular good opportunities to toilet by their trusted parents or caregivers who love and care for them and they are not prevented from doing so by the use of toileting by reflex when forced to depend of disposable diapers as their toilets!

So it was important for mum & grandma leelee to spend a huge amount of her time to trial and prototype to ensure that the EcoBabyLoo she produces for the global community is designed ergonomically for our children, it is effective and produced with zero waste in mind and it is strong and can be used by many children - sibling to sibling or given to relatives or to friend's children to ensure that the EcoBabyloo reduces the ecofootprint of every child using it. Use of the EcoBabyloo as a 2 month old baby's regular toilet until independence will also reduce the enormous nappy waste and pollutants that it produces to our environment! Parents on a budget, wanting to save their money for buying other products such as good food or toys can now do so as they are no longer dependent on myths or on the unsound education of teaching their children to depend on disposable diapers as their reflex toilets when they can learn and love to learn from you about how to toilet themselves hygienically from birth!

The Ecobabyloo is an ergonomically designed toilet for babies. It has a scooped high back with sides which ensures that a baby’s head and body are safely supported during toileting from 2-3 months.

The specially designed leg-ramp, upwards-sloping footrest ensures a baby’s legs are in the best position for toileting and the EcoBabyloo is effective for toilet training by families, mums, dads, grandparents, nannies and including older siblings.

The hands-free Ecobabyloo saves mums or caregivers from having sore arms at the end of the day, its face-to-face interactive design allows mums and carers to communicate effectively when cueing, teaching signals, responding to babies productions or their responses, encouraging their discovery learning of their toys, environment, body parts and the important aspects of encouragement and praise for jobs well done!

It comes with a stainless steel basin for waste, so easy to clean when used with a little water, that also makes sweet tinkling sounds during toileting to help baby discover their source of wee & poo and carer know when toileting is in progress! The stainless steel basin as a wonderful teaching aid was selected by LeeLee after several months of trials and the USB procedures provided with the ECOBABYLOO will explain how it can be used for building a toddler's self esteem, confidence, hand eye co-ordination, motor and manipulative skills and it is absolutely wonderful for every home, and every nursery school or kindergarten or hospitals with infants and toddlers and early preschoolers.
